Terence Herman, MD

Biography

Dr. Herman is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and radiation oncology, and will be treating cancerous blood disorders.

Dr. Herman diagnoses and treats all cancer types including blood disorders such as anemia, hemophilia, leukemia, sickle cell anemia, deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism’s affecting the body. At the Oncology Institute, patients can expect compassionate, patient centered care from the team of surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation therapists and other cancer specialists that work together under one roof.

After earning his medical degree from the University of Connecticut in Farmington, Connecticut, Dr. Herman attended the University of Arizona, in Tucson, Arizona, where he completed an internship and residency in internal medicine and a dual fellowship in hematology/oncology Internal medicine and pharmacology. That is where he found his passion to treat cancer patients and decided to attend Stanford University in Stanford, California, to pursue a residency in radiation oncology.

In addition to his extensive medical career, Dr. Herman is passionate about medical education and formerly taught as a professor for many years at the recognized Harvard Medical School and most recently The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. He has been the recipient of numerous honors and awards including Top Doctors of America For Women and Reviewer of Cancer and Radiation Research. Dr. Herman is widely published in peer-reviewed medical journals, the author of several book chapters and a member of several professional societies, including the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology Oncology, Radiation Research Society, American Association of Cancer Research and the Society for Neuro-Oncology.
