DHR Health Level 1 Trauma Center and Alton First Responders Unite to Combat Distracted Driving

Alton, Texas:In honor of Distracted Driving Awareness Month, DHR Health’s Level 1 Trauma Center collaborated with the City of Alton’s first responders to raise awareness about the importance of staying focused behind the wheel. On March 25, the City of Alton presented a proclamation during its commission meeting to recognize the collaboration and shared goal of preventing injuries on the road. The proclamation highlighted a simple but powerful message: even a quick glance away from the road can have life-changing consequences. DHR Health, alongside local fire and police departments, continue to lead efforts in education and outreach to help keep individuals who are on and off the road safe.
