Dr. Carlos Cardenas, chairman of the board at DHR Health, was interviewed on KURV 710 about how prepared the Rio Grande Valley is to handle COVID-19, prevention strategies and testing. He also reminded the community that everyone is a part of the “Army of Hope” against COVID-19.
“To the degree that we can control things, the most potent weapon we have is social distancing, the ability to stay home, reducing contact, sanitizing and washing our hands. We can do the things that prevent the spread of the disease until we have a more effective strategy and/or ability to either immunize or treat actively like we have with other illnesses…those are our best weapons,” said Cardenas.
