Biography

S.M. Golam K. Alam, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.P., F.A.C.C., is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. As part of the Heart Institute, Alam’ and the entire Cardiology team at DHR Health provide a wide range of diagnostic and interventional procedures for treatment of cardiac and peripheral vascular disease. Alam received his medical degree from Dhaka Medical College, University of Dhaka, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He obtained his Master of Public Health Degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He completed his Internal Medicine residency training and Fellowship in Cardiology at the Michael Reese Hospital, University of Illinois in Chicago before moving on to the University of Alabama at Birmingham in Alabama to complete his Advanced Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology.
