About Us

Welcome to the Education Department at DHR Health! We are dedicated to providing quality education and competency development for our employees to ensure the highest standard of patient care in our community.

The department spearheads the Education Committee which continuously works in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to provide the highest quality of education and training to the over 5,000 staff members employed at DHR Health. We also provide consultation for management staff to improve performance and quality using our educational expertise, facilitation techniques, and project management skills.

We offer education for healthcare professionals at all levels, non-clinical professionals, and the community, focusing on safety, health, and wellness. As an official AHA Training Center, we provide Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) training and re-certification.

In its ongoing efforts to support its staff and the healthcare community, DHR Education works in collaboration with other departments to make continuing education and training available to staff and physicians from other healthcare facilities. Key programs include the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) at Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced levels.

Our commitment to education extends beyond our staff. We actively collaborate with academic institutions, schools, community agencies, businesses, and public entities to offer health education services and community outreach activities.

One of our flagship programs is the Nurse Tech Program, designed to offer nursing students valuable clinical experience while pursuing their Registered Nurse credentials. Our mission is to provide structured training for aspiring nurses. Nurse Technicians work under the supervision of registered nurses, gaining hands-on experience, exposure to the hospital environment, and opportunities for interaction with healthcare professionals. Our program aims to foster the growth and development of future nursing professionals.

DHR Education is dedicated to career growth. We actively seek agreements and grants to provide career development opportunities at no cost to our employees. Through our affiliations with Institutes of Higher Learning, we offer Higher Education opportunities and Tuition Reimbursement.

Join our team in the pursuit of excellence in healthcare education!
