Andres Saenz, MD

Biography

DHR Health is excited to welcome Dr. Andres Saenz to the DHR Health Neurology Institute. As a board-certified neurologist, Saenz specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide range of neurological conditions, including headaches, chronic migraines, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and more. Saenz will serve both as a neurohospitalist and an outpatient neurologist, ensuring comprehensive neurological care for patients across the RGV. A Valley native, and bilingual in Spanish, Saenz is excited to return home and contribute to the well-being of the community that shaped him.

Saenz earned his Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Texas Pan-American before obtaining his medical degree and completing his neurology residency at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio. Alongside his clinical work, Saenz is passionate about teaching and mentoring future healthcare professionals. He has trained medical students and residents in neurology and was recognized with the Award for Excellence in Teaching at UTHSA, a testament to his dedication to education and advancing the field of neurology.
