Biography
Dr. Herschl B. Silberman is a cardiologist with more than 25 years of experience caring for patients in the Rio Grande Valley.
His training includes clinical and interventional cardiology, with experience in cardiac catheterization, coronary and peripheral interventions, echocardiography, and other approaches used to evaluate and treat heart and vascular conditions.
After earning his medical degree from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru, Dr. Silberman completed his Internal Medicine training at Southern Illinois University Affiliated Hospitals. He then completed his Cardiology fellowship and advanced interventional training at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital/Texas Heart Institute in Houston.
At DHR Health, Dr. Silberman serves as the chairman of the cardiology department. He treats conditions including coronary artery disease, high blood pressure, heart failure, heart valve disease, heart rhythm disorders, peripheral artery disease, and other cardiovascular conditions.
